“There is one spectacle grander than the sea, that is the sky;
There is one spectacle grander than the sky, that is the interior of the soul.”
― Victor Hugo, Les Misérables
Chapter 2 WP-Admin Panel
The WP-Admin panel is the center of the WP website power plant. The admin site is the main dashboard where the blog site itself will be defined. We can customize the front page, manage menus and widgets, add pages. In the settings, we can set the admin password, define the blogsite name and tagline, define membership, and blog site time zone.
Chapter 3
First and foremost, I learned that the page title is NOT the blog site and is used to help identify pages in the page directory. I liked using the block editor, it intuitively makes sense. Adding images was also easy, BUT I cant figure out how to move to a new location (ie not left-justified). I did figure out how to add text over an image and how to relocate the text relative to the image.
I also learned the difference between draft/preview and published articles. Hard to believe there is still a whole book ahead of us.
